The counseling process is a very important part of a new member’s introduction to Christ and to Greater New Hope. It is critical that a counselor help the new member to fully understand the pathway to a new life in Christ or to becoming a member of Greater New Hope because often they come to church with many personal concerns. The counselor asks how the new member wants to unite with Greater New Hope: Baptism, Christian Experience or Restoration and this information determines what the counselor discusses with new member. Each new member is encouraged to attend New Member classes in order to become an official member of Greater New Hope.
