At the Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, deaconesses are the wives of ministers and deacons. This Deaconess Ministry supports the vision of the pastor by assisting the deacons whenever called upon. Their responsibilities also include handling communion set up and assisting at the communion table; assisting and preparing female new converts for baptism, and serving as examples of godly women as indicated in Titus 2: 3-5.
